Rogier Alexander is a Dutch fashion photographer, born in Gouda, known for his strangely good-looking imagery and flashlight-aesthetic. It is through his vivid spectrum of colors and his spacy eye for detail with which he instantly catches the viewer's attention. His images are a very explicit reaction to todays popular culture—and a personal throwback to the late 1990s and early 2000s. Think of our highly filtered beauty standards and a Nokia 3310 or something much more alienesque. The medium of photography allows Alexander to play with the idea of what we consider attractive. In addition, he visually states: "That in order to be noticed, you will always have to do something strange".

Rogier Alexander is based in Amsterdam.

MEXICAN FASHION IS DIGITAL - 24/25/26 APRIL 2020

The first digital edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Mexico City will take place on the weekend of April 24-26 and has one great goal: to ensure that our industry, and the thousands of jobs it creates, keep going.

It is time for Mexican fashion professionals to be a community. Our future will depend on whether the extraordinary mosaic of women and men in fashion bring together individual talents to create collective value. The positive response of Mexican fashion to the crisis is simple, come together to give a global message: It’s WE, not Me. "We are excited that Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Mexico City is coming to YouTube to connect with all fashion fans around the world. YouTube has been the global destination for fashion and beauty content since its inception, and we are confident that users will live a unique experience, from their homes, enjoying the content that the designers and the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Mexico City team have prepared for them ".
